I was contacted by the school’s IT Teacher to re-design the school website which was not mobile-friendly and in need of modernisation. Any updates of information to the website was not easy to perform and costly if it had to be done by the web designer/developer.
The decision to quickly re-do the website happened when the old site got hacked into. The original webdesigner/developer did not have a back-up so an old development copy of the site was uploaded to replace the hacked one. A re-design by them was too expensive.
Here is a screenshot of the old website:
We looked at and discussed a few options including converting the site to the system that many schools have recently changed into. The decision was made. I submitted two drafts and we developed on the chosen design. It went live within three days.
Alan Bishop kindly did the photography so the old images were replaced with new ones.
A training session was conducted for the school staff and principal so they can write notices and Principal’s posts themselves.
It was fun to work with the friendly, cheerful school staff.
